Brick Lane Market (Sunday Upmarket), London

What: While previously having links with Jack the Ripper, Brick Lane, in East London has shifted its inhabitants across the years. While still home to a large population of the Bangladesh community, Brick Lane also attracts an emerging creative community which is evident from the art and design, vintage clothing, bric-a-brac and food markets that take place every weekend.

In particular, the Sunday Upmarket has a great food market that sells everything from fresh produce to ethnic cuisine, to artisan coffee and bakes. Head here on a Sunday for a brunch or lunch and a sticky beak amongst the street art and music- you may even grab yourself a bargain from one of the specialty design markets in the precinct around the Old Truman Brewery.
