What: As Iceland’s biggest fleamarket, Kolaportið market is a great place to pick up some delicious local produce (including fish, traditional breads, salted liquorice and the popular shark meat), buy some locally designed jewellery or nab a cheaper, secondhand lopapeysur (Icelandic woollen jumper).
Located downtown near the Reykjavik harbour, this indoor market opens every weekend from 11am-5pm.
While many people comment on the tackiness of the place (it does sell used good in all types), you can find yourself a unique Icelandic souvenir if you’re willing to hunt for that gem.

Where: Tryggvagata 19, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland
Opening Times: Saturdays and Sundays 11am-5pm
